What Is Medieval Music?
Medieval music can be difficult to define because it has evolved so much over time.
As a general rule, medieval music is a term that refers to a wide range of music from the Middle Ages, typically from Western Europe between the 6th and 15th centuries.
This period in history covers a lot of ground, so it can be difficult to define medieval music precisely. In general, though, medieval music is characterized by its use of older musical styles and instruments. It also tends to feature more religious and spiritual themes than other types of music.
Today, medieval music has evolved further as a theme since this style of music can often feature heavily in modern fantasy games.
That is why today, I use ancient Celtic musical instruments and blend them with modern sounds to create engaging music that is modern and easy to listen too, but helps build a medieval world.
